Aquarius
Planting the People’s Vision of
the Future
The
Aquarius
A
Aquarius
is a fixed air sign and so it releases energy focused on a fixed purpose. “Aquarius releases the energy of Capricorn
and represents civilization expanding or reforming itself through its
inventors, seers and revolutionaries.” (D. Rudhyar, Pulse of Life). It represents archetypal ideals, such as
Justice, Peace, Courage, Love, etc.
The New
Moon in Aquarius is the energetic time of year to plant seeds of ideas and
ideals that will benefit all of us in the future. This year this is a vitally
important activity. This new Moon falls near
This Aquarius
New Moon is conjoined Chiron and Neptune.
Last year 3 planets came together in Aquarius around this degree, opening
us to: Chiron, healing energy; Jupiter, the enlarging vision; and Neptune, the
Creative Imagination. Neptune stays in a sign for 14 years, and during that time, it initiates a new collective ideal of the highest good that's related to the sign it's in. Jupiter expands this ideal and makes it a guiding principle for us, while Chiron heals the old wounds that keep us from believing in the possibilities of a better future. These planets
combined to ignite visions of a better, healed future that might finally
incorporate the ideals of our Founding Fathers and Mothers. The cosmic clock is ticking – it’s time for
humanity to take a leap in consciousness.
This New
Moon marks the beginning of the process of dispersion of these new healing
visions into the collective mind. Our
feeling of unity is growing; many of us know that we are all in this together -
humans, Earth, animals, oceans, atmosphere.
(Take a look at the documentary – The Cove. www.takepart.com/TheCove).
Uranus,
one of the rulers of Aquarius, is at 25*Pisces: After
drastic reforms, a purified clergy officiates anew. This is one of the symbols which
influences this New Moon. The symbol
stands for a rededication to spiritual ideals and the dissolution of
ego-desires in service to others, as well as the ‘purifying’ of social
corruption.
The other
ruler of Aquarius is Saturn, now at 4* Libra: Pilgrims
gather around a campfire in silent communion.
This symbol which also influences the New Moon, clearly calls the
pilgrims of the world to gather in silent communion (see the Aquarian
Experiment below).
So during
this new Aquarian cycle, we can plant the seeds of a new, compassionate vision
of world unity if we rededicate ourselves to spiritual principles and gather
together in harmony and communion.
Both
Venus and Jupiter are in Pisces, inspiring us with faith, hope and universal
love. Hopefully these planets will keep
us actively aware of the plight of
Mars at
5*Leo and Saturn at 4* Libra form a Yod, or Finger of God, with
Venus/Jupiter. This configuration
demands a change in perspective. With
Venus and Jupiter at the focal point, it activates a desire to adopt another
world view which puts us in alignment with our spiritual nature and allows us
to connect with others.
Both
Neptune and Chiron are at 27*Aquarius: Violets and
forget-me-nots in an old, earthen bowl. This beautiful symbol shows us what is
possible when we let the Feminine Spirit contain us. It signifies being faithful to a unified new
perspective on life and the expression of our inner, spiritual nature.
The
Sabian symbol for the Sun and Moon at 26* Aquarius is: A
mechanic testing the charge of a car battery. I love how mundane this image is. Yet it implies a skill and an understanding of
how energy works. How will you use your
energy to make-over the world? Why not
join us in our Aquarian Experiment and work on your skill at Imagining?
The Aquarian
Experiment: The
Taking
all the symbols from this New Moon and weaving their images together into a
cosmic story, I came up with an experiment that seems to fit the energies this
month.
I invite
all of you to participate in an experiment of the Imagination. What
will happen if many people focus on planting a Garden in the Imaginal world
over a period of time? What kind of
connections will be made? Will this kind
of connection give rise to mental telepathy or other forms of psychic
knowing? It will be an exercise in
building your imaginative muscles. It
takes repetition and focus.
So why create something in the Imaginal world? Henry Corbin called this plane the ‘mundus imaginalis’ which is just “as real as the world of the senses and of the intellect. This world requires its own faculty of perception, namely imaginative power.”
The Imagination has been stunted, both by the insistence that it's 'only fantasy' and by our modern media.
Imagination also plays an
important part in your subjective life, as it gives mobility to your
beliefs. It is one of the motivating
agencies that helps transform your beliefs into physical experience. It is vital therefore that you understand the
interrelationship between ideas and imagination. In order to dislodge unsuitable beliefs and
establish new ones, you must learn to use your imagination to move concepts in
and out of your mind. The proper use of
imagination can then propel ideas in the directions you desire.8
Jane Roberts, Seth
I do not know what bounds may be placed on
the power of the imagination. It can heal the body, reveal the secrets of
divine truth, transform the personality, incarnate God, and open up worlds of
infinite diversity and potential.
Jeffrey Raff, Jung and the
Alchemical
The imagination is, therefore, not a source of deception and
delusion, but a capacity to sense what you do not know, to intuit what you
cannot understand, to be more than you can know.

Our Creative
Imagination is an organ of perception that each of us can use to energetically
unite in a common purpose. If we can do
it energetically, we can manifest it in the world. Whether you think of this experiment as a spiritual
virtual reality exercise, creating an Aquarian Mindfield or engaging in a group
magical visualization, please consider joining us.
This is
an experiment – I don’t know how it will turn out. We already know that group meditations work. This experiment requires a sustained effort
on our parts. We’re going to imagine
planting and then growing a garden, only we’re all going to the same Garden.
After the
initial meditation on New Moon Day, we have to go back daily and keep imagining
our private gardens until we build them into a solid thought-form in the
Imaginal world. That means employing our
senses in the vision if possible. Since
all our gardens will be part of a communal
So if
you’re IN, please go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/worldgarden/ where you’ll find
instructions on the message board on how to participate, a meditation to use to
get to the Garden and why I established this Yahoo group to facilitate sharing
on this ‘plane’.
If anyone
is interested in helping us bless and ward the
The thing
I love about this experiment is that each of us gets to bring our own visions
for the future into a shared space, and it will be the combination of many
people’s visions that creates the possibility of a new world vision, not an
imposed vision.
If people
want to come into the Garden after we’ve started this experiment on February 13th,
please go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/worldgarden/and join our group. The instructions will be there.

Blessings,
